The story behind the painting…
I grew up watching and cheering for my local Boston sports teams, going to games with my Dad, learning math by calculating batting averages, and riding all of the ups and downs, the losses and defeats. When my Dad was diagnosed with cancer, I would sit in the waiting rooms and sketch the hat of which ever team was playing that day, while discussing and analyzing the prospects of each season, and each team. When I look back at our time in the hospital, cheering and rooting for something together brought us both healing…and painting the Boston sports hats brings me back to that moment.
